There are websites which are made to look like other companies' websites and which use Drive-by-Downloads to infect the user's computer with malicious software. These downloads often go unnoticed because they are mostly embedded in various scripts. Frequently the Webspace/Host is also used as a storage location for malware or malicious software which is then linked, for example in spam emails.
